How can I get my home ready for painting?

There are a few things you can do to help prepare your home for a painting service, such as packing away personal items and moving anything fragile or valuable out of the work areas so it stays protected from dust and paint. That said, we can take care of the preparation for you as well—home prep is included as part of our service.
We’ll clean and dust the surrounding areas, protect the floors with drop sheets and masking tape, and cover furniture with plastic sheeting where needed. Our goal is to keep your home neat and tidy throughout the entire painting process.

What level of disruption should I expect during the painting job?

Our goal is to make sure your painting job—including any preparation and repairs—is completed properly and thoroughly. We also work hard to keep disruption to a minimum by walking you through the process from start to finish and creating a plan that suits your household and schedule. Our team mainly handles general repairs and maintenance, such as patching holes, fixing minor cracks, and addressing light water damage as part of the prep work.

How many coats of paint will be applied as part of the quoted price?

The number of coats included will depend on the surface being painted. In most cases, surfaces will need three coats in total—one coat of primer/undercoat and two topcoats for the finished look.
However, in some situations an undercoat may not be necessary. For example, if the surface has been painted before, is in good condition, and doesn’t require repairs, we may be able to go straight to the topcoats.
